Trail Ride Wrangler

West Glacier, MT
Seasonal
Glacier Division
Entry Level

Wranglers share chores related to horse care and preparation for trail rides, greet visitors and share visitor information, check-in trail ride guests, instruct them in basic horsemanship, and ensure their safety as they guide them on trail rides ranging from 1 to 8 hours. During the ride, wranglers deliver interpretive dialog and area information.

Please note that all of our trail rides are conducted strictly at the walk.

When they aren’t on a horse, wranglers can also expect to participate in periodic trail or facility maintenance and may also assist the corral manager in basic office tasks: answering the phone, taking a reservation, taking a payment.

Room and board is available, but please note that wranglers WILL share cooking and housework duties among themselves. Salaries are paid via direct deposit every two weeks, but wranglers can expect to earn cash tips daily too. Wranglers work 5-6 days a week and the work days are 12 hours long. Our season runs from May - September. Preference given to applicants who can work the full season, though some late arrivals and early departures can be accommodated.

$1800 monthly salary, plus tips, room and board.

Current CPR, Wilderness First Aid, and Food Handlers Safety certifications preferred.
